2011/2012 EDBDA High School (10-12) Tryout music ( For Fall 2011 auditions)

All wind students will play from the chosen scales from the OMEA All State Scale requirements, play the appropriate etude and sight read.  Percussion students will play the appropriate etude(s) and sight read.  Individual etude information needs to be looked up from the OMEA All-State mailouts or OMEA’s website.

1. Chromatic Scale: Sixteenth notes, either tongued or slurred, student’s choice,

ascending and descending. Do not repeat the top note. The scale is to begin on

the actual pitch of the instruments as indicated below:

E-FLAT CLARINET F below the staff, 3 octaves

B-FLAT CLARINET F below the staff, 3 octaves
