Welcome to the official web site of the Eastern District Band Directors Association (EDBDA) of Oklahoma. 

The EDBDA is dedicated to helping our students have positive musical experiences in the classroom and performance arenas.  EDBDA sponsors the EDBDA All District Honor Band each year in January.  Students are encouraged to audition for the honor band that is specific for their age group.  At this time EDBDA sponsors honor bands for students in the 7th grade, 8th grade, Mid High (9th and 10th grades), and Senior High (11th and 12th grades).

 We pride ourselves on providing quality music educators to serve as guest clinicians each year.  The 7th, 8th, and Mid High bands have highly reccommended and professionally proven clinicians from the Oklahoma and Arkansas area.  The Senior High bands have well respected teachers, conductors, and composers as guest clinicians.  Some of our past Senior High clinicians have included, Claude T. Smith, James Barnes, James Swearengin, Anne McGinty, Howard Dunn, Ed Huckeby, Robert Foster, Paula Crider, Robert Carnochan, William Wakefield, Gene Thrailkill, and many others.
